Over the past few weeks, there have been an annoying number of problems posting comments, where the comment system reports an error message, suggesting the comment was rejected, but actually accepting the comments.
This issue has been reported by multiple users in the blogspot help forums but does not appear to have been fixed, at least as of yesterday evening. There have been a number of changes made in the comment moderation software and this may be related.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
In the meantime, if you get an error message starting with "URI too long..." while posting a comment, odds are good that the comment was recorded by the system.
My apologies for the aggravation. It happens to me too.
